Mattress Construction

The DreamCloud mattress is a hybrid that features memory foam, latex, standard foam and a coil support system. It is 15 inches tall and it is composed of 8 layers using premium materials.

Since there are so many layers, it might get confusing so here is a numbered guide.

  1. True Tufted Cashmere Blend Euro Top – Maximum breathability for cooler sleeping and a luxurious plush feel as you lay down on the mattress.
  2. Gel Memory Foam – Very comfortable and allows for a cooler sleeping experience
  3. Soft Quilted Memory Foam – A good complement to the gel memory foam layer on top.
  4. Natural Latex layer – Provides additional support, responsiveness and bounce.
  5. High Density Memory Foam – Allows the mattress to contour to your body even more for a very good sleeping experience.
  6. High Density Soft Memory Foam – Cradles your body as you sleep so that your spine maintains a good posture.
  7. “Best Rest” Coils – A five-zoned pocketed coil system that minimizes motion transfer and provides very good support.
  8. High Density Memory Foam – Improves motion isolation even more.

The design of the DreamCloud mattress is done very well and each layer is there to serve a purpose. All foams used in the mattress are CertiPUR-US certified. Read More

A mattress that is 15 inches tall and designed with premium quality materials in mind will usually go for more so it’s really good that they are able to offer such a mattress at this price.

Aside from the mattress itself, you have the option of buying either a bed frame with headboard or an adjustable bed base. These are optional only and you don’t have to buy them if you don’t want or need to.

Bed frame with Headboard

The bed frame costs $375 (queen). It features a button-tufted upholstered headboard, metal frame and wooden slats. It comes in 2 colors: grey (image) and linen.

Adjustable Bed Base

The adjustable base is priced at $799 (queen) and it comes with the following features:

  • Three Programmable Memory Setting
  • USB plugs for comfort and convenience
  • Wireless remote
  • Luxury Three Zone Massage
  • Zero Gravity Setting
  • TV Recline Setting

Comfort, Support and Firmness

The Cashmere cover provides a plush feel as you lay down on the mattress and the memory foam in the comfort layers give you a cradling effect that results in a very comfortable sleep.

The latex layer, the high density memory foam layers and the pocketed coils are very supportive and will ensure that your spine is in alignment as you sleep. They also give the mattress a good amount of bounce so changing positions while you sleep is easier.

The firmness rating of the DreamCloud mattress is medium-firm or luxury firm. On a scale of 1-10 with one being super soft and 10 being very firm, the mattress is rated at 6.5. This mattress is suitable for all types of sleepers.

As with all good quality innerspring mattresses, edge support is very good. This is good news for anyone that will share this mattress with their significant others.

Cooling is not a problem with the DreamCloud. The combination of a breathable Cashmere cover, gel memory foam and pocketed coils will ensure that you won’t experience overheating as you sleep.

Motion Isolation

The materials used in the DreamCloud are very effective when it comes to absorbing motion. The layers upon layers of high density memory foam does a great job of limiting motion transfer and the pocketed coil system does the same.

Off Gassing

As for off gassing, there might be a faint smell once the mattress is opened for the first time but don’t worry, it will not linger for long. The foams used are CertiPUR-US certified so there are no health issues to be concerned with. The smell comes from the vacuum sealing process since this is a bed-in-a-box.

No such noise as you sleep. Squeaking noise can be a problem for low quality innerspring mattresses that use cheap materials but for the DreamCloud, it’s a non-issue. The usage of premium materials and the high quality build of the mattress prevents noise problems.

One of the best selling points of this mattress is the Everlong warranty. It means that you can claim warranty for as long as you own the mattress provided you haven’t done anything that can void it.

For the first 10 years, if there are any defects in the materials or workmanship, you will get a brand new replacement at no cost, not even shipping.

After 10 years, if there are defects in workmanship or materials, they will repair and recover your mattress or replace it.

For the full warranty terms, click here.

This is honestly one of the better warranty terms that we have encountered. Just to be safe, make sure that you follow their guidelines to a T and use the proper base/frame/foundation with the mattress. A mattress protector is also highly recommended for added protection.

365 Night Trial

If you’ve been shopping for a mattress for a while now, you will notice that almost every mattress company offers a sleep trial with X amount of days. The DreamCloud is no different but it ups the ante by giving you 365 days. That’s a whole year to test a mattress and this is great because you will be able to test it in different seasons in different weather conditions.

If you don’t like it after 365 days, you can return it, no problem. You will receive a full refund and there are no other costs to worry about. Your refund will be processed a few days after the return.

Delivery and Set-up

Delivery is free within the contiguous United States. As for Hawaii and Alaska, there is a small fee added. The mattress is shipped in 1-5 days after confirmation of order.

As for the set-up and removal of your current mattress, there is an optional White Glove Service that you can avail. If you do opt to have the mattress set-up for you, a representative in your local area will call you 1-2 days after your order has been confirmed to coordinate a delivery date.

On the delivery day, they will set-up the mattress for you and if you chose to have your current mattress removed, they will do so. This is helpful if you live alone or if you are not physically able to lift and set-up the mattress yourself.

Customer Support

Customer support is good. When you visit their site, you can ask them about the DreamCloud mattress and they will respond promptly with relevant answers.

Communication once order is placed is also good. They make sure to let you know about what’s happening with your order so that potential issues or problems are minimized.

After sales support is also very good. You can contact them 7 days a week from 9am to 12mn EST either via chat on their site, phone or e-mail.

The Verdict

We highly recommend the DreamCloud Luxury Hybrid Mattress. If you are looking for an innerspring or a hybrid with springs, this should definitely be on top of your shortlist of mattresses to consider.

The use of premium materials makes this a very high quality mattress that provides exceptional comfort and support. Despite having several layers of memory foam, cooling is not an issue, as well as off gassing. Motion isolation is excellent and edge support is very good. DreamCloud’s performance in these areas are more than enough to justify a purchase but with the addition of free cleaning and reconditioning, 365 nights trial and an everlong warranty, it puts them on the must-buy tier.
